This program synthesises practical approaches from several modalities that are publishing positive outcomes for these clients, and presents them using actual cases that will underpin your clinical practice in traumatology. The content is applicable to both adult and adolescent populations. The techniques will be immediately relevant in your clinical practice. The program will explain when exposure-based interventions are indicated and appropriate, and when other therapeutic needs must be addressed first. Day 1-2 is dedicated to treating PTSD clients utilising a cognitive behavioural approach.
Day 3-4 is dedicated to the treatment of Complex PTSD (survivors of child abuse and neglect/ developmental trauma) incorporating current experiential techniques showing promising results with this population; drawn from Emotion Focused Therapy for trauma, Metacognitive Therapy, Schema Therapy, Attachment pathology treatment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
The program attracts between 15 and 42 trauma-focused CPD hours. You can learn in two online modes - self-paced homestudy or livestream, and complete the program in either or both modes (e.g., Day 1-2 in self-paced and Day 3-4 livestream or vice versa).
Self-paced online over three months commencing on delivery of your printed materials, or on 1 February, 1 April, 1 July or 1 October annually. You can complete the program entirely self-paced in your own time without time off work. You can split the Day 1-4 program to complete in different periods during the year (e.g., Day 1-2 commencing in February and Day 3-4 commencing in July). A complimentary extension is available for self-paced learning if required. When you register for our self-paced online program, you have access to a scheduled livestream in the same, or the following year to help consolidate learning.
Join one our highly interactive Day 1-4 livestreams in offered in March, June, September for NZ or November. You have three months access to the self-paced online program immediately following your livestream to consolidate learning.
The Day 1-4 Fee is $1,290 AUD or $695 AUD for Day 1-2 or Day 3-4 if purchased separately for NZ residents. Please register one month prior and allow 2 weeks for delivery of printed materials. Your program fee includes access to both modes to help consolidate your learning.
