This course is designed for therapists who are interested in understanding their own dreams and would like to use this as a therapeutic tool in helping their clients to do the same. Dreams are a wonderful way of accessing knowledge from the unconscious and serve to promote healing and a deeper spiritual awareness both subjectively and objectively.
Jennifer McGarry: Dream Practitioner retired Psychotherapist
The Certificate in Dreamwork 101 and 201 is based on the work of Margaret Bowater the founder of (DNANZ Dream network association of New Zealand). The workshop is designed to understand the significance of dream work not only as a therapeutic tool for therapists but also for anyone who has a basic interest in dreams. This is like a fast track to the unconscious and can be extremely effective in supporting clients wanting to change and become more conscious of managing life’s challenges.
During my 25 years of being a registered psychotherapist, I have completed courses on dreamwork and have been guided extensively by Margaret Bowater before her passing in November 2023. I have done other extensive studies on dreaming.
In my clinical work I have witnessed clients overcoming repetitive nightmares, releasing emotional blockages and even discovering healing PTSD through dreams.
As a tribute to Margaret Bowater, we are dedicated in continuing her legacy to bring dreaming consciousness into the healing faculties and to as many people as possible.
I am the vice President of DNANZ and a NZ representative for the International Association of the Study of Dreams (IASD). I am joining with Di Batchelor to facilitate this course.
