EFCT Externship

Join EFT trainer Heike McCahon for an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Externship training in February 2026!

EFT is a humanistic psychotherapy that works using attachment theory in contexts including couples, individuals, and families. The Externship serves as the first part of EFCT training where the modality is applied primarily to couples.
EFT training acts as a cumulative tiered programme of learning suitable for those already qualified, or in training as mental health professionals.
All the training levels are run as four-day courses and are delivered as full-days ONLINE via Zoom. This delivery method has proved to be an asset due to its flexibility and accessibility for many students.

Note also that we have one full fees paid scholarship for the Externship for those who identify as Maori/ Pasifika or who work directly with these populations. We also offer a reduced rate low income/ student scholarship.
