Join highly experienced Aotearoa New Zealand trainer, Yve Gould for an EFCT Externship training in April/ May 2025. The EFCT Externship is a 4-day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. It serves as the foundation training to becoming a Certified EFCT Therapist.
EFT is a humanistic, systemic and well-researched psychotherapy. It works relationally using attachment theory in a variety of therapeutic contexts including with couples, individuals and families. The training includes observations of sessions, theory and techniques, skills training exercises and discussion of specific cases, clinical material and issues.
EFCT training acts as a cumulative tiered programme of learning suitable for those already qualified, or in training as mental health professionals. The training starts with the initial Externship which is then followed by a Core Skills Standard training. All the training levels are run as four-day courses and are delivered as full-days ONLINE on Zoom. This delivery method has proved to be an asset due to its flexibility and accessibility for many students.
Note that we also offer a full fees paid Maori/ Pasifika scholarship and a reduced rate scholarship for students/ those on low incomes. We can also accommodate payment plans for fees.
