Online analytic group therapy

Group psych

Slow-Open Group-Analytic Group meeting online from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday evenings and twice a year for a day working together in person in Auckland. The cost is $175/month by automatic payment on the first day of each month. We aim to meet forty-six times a year.

The group has been meeting since May 2007.

The group takes about a month to join and a month to leave. The first three evenings are free and by way of an assessment.

About Crispin Balfour
Crispin Balfour has been conducting Group-Analytic groups since May 2007. In 1995 he began training as a counsellor and then as a psychotherapist with the Institute of Psychosynthesis, where he went on to teach experiential groups for ten years. In 2001 he discovered a passion for psychoanalytic theory and practice. Since then he has studied psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy: He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in 2003 and a Masters in Psychoanalytic Studies in 2011. He has been studying Lacanian Analysis for several years and is currently the Delegate of the New Zealand Forum of the School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums in the Lacanian Field, and is a Member of the School. In 2006 Crispin completed an Introductory Course in Group Analysis and has conducted psychotherapy groups since 2007. He is passionate about group process and brings a psychoanalytic lens to his work with groups.
